EKOBA Celebrates EBHS 112th Founders’ Day Thanksgiving Service in Grand Style

In a historic and momentous occasion, the Eko Boys High School Old Boys’ Association (EKOBA) gathered on campus to celebrate the 112th Founders’ Day Thanksgiving Service on Monday, January 13, 2025. This remarkable event, which had not been held on school grounds in a long time, was made possible by the completion of the newly constructed Rev. W.B. Euba Hall. The modern facility allowed Ekorians from across the globe to congregate and offer thanks for the school’s enduring legacy.

The service was conducted by clergy from the Methodist Church, Palm Avenue, Mushin, who led the congregation in prayers, hymns, and reflections on the school’s rich heritage. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude as alumni, students, teachers, and well-wishers came together to honor the institution that has shaped generations of leaders.

EKOBA National President, Ekorian Kayode Elliot, led the old students in giving thanks, acknowledging the school’s profound impact on their lives and careers. He expressed joy at seeing the Thanksgiving Service reinstated on campus, emphasizing that the completion of Rev. W.B. Euba Hall played a crucial role in making the gathering possible.

Other service clubs within the school also participated in the thanksgiving, reinforcing the spirit of unity and camaraderie that EBHS fosters. Attendees reminisced about their time at the school, sharing fond memories and renewing their commitment to the institution’s continued progress.

The Thanksgiving Service served as a fitting tribute to EBHS’s legacy, rekindling the bonds of fellowship among Ekorians and setting the stage for even greater celebrations in the future. With the new hall now serving as a unifying hub, the old boys’ association looks forward to making the on-campus Founders’ Day Thanksgiving an enduring tradition once again.
