EKOBA E81/82 hold 2024 AGM, return last Exco unopposed

E81/82 Service Club held it’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, 26 May, 2024, where it also elected a new Executive Committee to pilot its affairs for the next two years.

The new Exco members are;

1) President – Johnson Folayan
2) Vice President – Dayo Oni
3) General Secretary – Mike Oduniyi
4) Asst. General Secretary – James Okwubor
5) Treasurer – Bisi Adekeye
6) Social Secretary – Bankole Gbadebo
7) Welfare Officer – Semeton Adeyele..

The National President of EKOBA, Odofin Kayode Elliot, who presided over the elections, administered the oath of office on the new Exco members.

In his remark, the President of the service Club, Ekorian Johnson Folayan, listed some of the achievements of the Exco to include;

* Improvement in collective participation of member local and diaspora in Service Club programs.

* Improvement in the payment of membership annual dues.

* Prompt payment of Insurance Premium and successful negotiation of improved insurance policy cover for members.

* Introduction of remembrance/memorial program for our departed members, and subsequent hosting of maiden Memorial Day.

* Donations of educational materials to our Alma Mater Eko Boys High School – computers,

* Donation of extra-curricular materials Table Tennis equipment and materials – to alma mater EBHS, to aid the sporting prowess of the students.

• Contribution of one million Naira (N1m) on behalf of the association to the school hall project.

* Ensure that the Service Club was recognized in the Walk of Fame.

* Donation of fifty (Nos. 50) chairs to the school hall.

* Commenced the audit of our financial accounts from 2020 and the conclusion for 2020 and 2021 financial years.

* Initiated ongoing plans to build a befitting Basketball Court in EBHS.
